Beauty enjoys the spring day with music, With green hair and embroidered sleeves and double-ringed ears. Playing a jade flute and silver pipe, With twenty-three strings that sing like a phoenix's voice. Later discovered as a zither player, Was she charming as she listened, or did she miss the music? The "Liangzhou" tune runs through the "Liuyao" melody, A song that seems fit only for the heavens above. Clouds remain stationary as evening rain falls, And warblers glance at the scene, as if they are startled by the flight of wild geese. The palace strings compete for new sounds, With rapid melodies reflecting the emotions of the six palaces under the moon. Have you not seen the "Houting", "Yushu", and "Liyuan" compositions, With the emperor indulging in dance and music every day? When war drums thundered and shook the land, Did the fate of the court resemble that of Han Qinhu? The art of painting, no matter how skilled, is of no use to Wang Anshi. Those who love music will surely lose their country. The people of the countryside do not know about the silk industry, So they write songs about silk-reeling to encourage industry.
