Those who once rode the Yellow Crane are now gone, Leaving only lush spring flowers and verdant grass before the tower. How could they know that a grand official from a thousand years ago, Afar from the Imperial City, had come to this riverside town? Looking down upon the ancient ruins in the purple evening light, They held a banquet with guests, clouds unfolding as screens. As they savor their wine and expound new verses with inspired strokes, Their poems are so stunning that they are sung far across the sea. I recall when I first visited the White Jade Capital, Walking with you towards Chengming Palace hand in hand. Proclaiming the Emperor's wisdom and achievements, Scholars thronged together like those ascending to the realm of Ying. But I, in one turn, fell away to a distant land of thousands of miles, Looking back at the沧浪 and yearning for a chance to wash my tassel. My position is merely a trifle, unhelpful in the grand scheme of things, Only my grey hair mocks me as I watch life pass by. Amidst bamboo thickets beyond the river, birds sing year-round In the misty edges, their voices echoing through the four seasons. Here, suddenly, we meet again as if in a dream seeking immortality, But we must part as soon as we have eaten our fill, with not enough time to rest our horses at night. You journey north while I must travel south once more. When will we meet again? Thinking of this makes me shed tears. The divine figure in the palace holds sway over the Four Oceans, And all mountains and seas must be made clear once more. With an iron hat high and looking out over the world, We shall quickly traverse all of our paths in the azure heavens. The ferocious beasts are always hiding amidst kind animals, And with the help of mighty eagles soaring in autumn, we shall overcome them all. As I stand on my high tower and gaze at you across cloud-covered islands tonight, I hear a flute playing as the moon sets, my thoughts filled with longing for you.
《奉酬段御史登岳阳楼之作时分理盗贼至海康》一诗，情感深沉，意境悠远，将个人际遇与国家情怀巧妙融合，展现了诗人复杂微妙的内心世界。
开篇“谁能手铺湘水平，刬却君山看洞庭”，以豪迈之笔设问，想象若能移开君山，直面广阔无垠的洞庭湖，该是何等壮观。此句不仅展现了诗人对自然美景的向往，也暗含了对世事阻碍的无奈与超脱之愿。随后，“昔人已骑黄鹤去，楼前乱芷春兰青”，借古喻今，黄鹤楼与岳阳楼遥相呼应，昔人已逝，而楼前春兰芷草依旧青翠，岁月悠悠，人事已非，透露出淡淡的哀愁与时光流转的感慨。

最后，“宫中圣人总四溟，所过海岳须澄清。铁冠峨峨望天下，青霄快展皆修程”，诗人寄望于朝廷，希望圣明君主能平定四海，御史们铁冠威严，巡视天下，清除奸佞，还世间一片清明。“由来豺虎伏仁兽，况有鹰隼当秋横”，比喻正义终将战胜邪恶。“明夜相思隔云岛，月落高台闻笛声”，以景结情，月夜之下，笛声悠扬，思念之情跨越千山万水，萦绕心头，留给读者无限遐想的空间。
