上长庆和尚偈

世人悟道非从耳，耳患虽加道亦分。灵鹫一机迦叶会，吾师传得岂关闻。

译文

世上人领悟佛法不是靠耳朵听会的，耳朵即使出现病障受害对佛法也会有认识错误。佛法以灵鹫山一悟成佛契理之机为根本，老师传授佛法宗旨又岂止是靠听闻而已呢？
